It has been quite a while since my last post. But home performance is booming and this job is mostly pro-bono. Having said that our home owner is pursuing two different paths to help finance some of this project. The first path is a program called "Assisted" through the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. Essentially this is a weatherization assistance program. If our home owner qualifies he will be granted a complimentary energy audit and up to $5,000. worth of energy related improvements. The other program is through BG&E, the Smart Energy program offers financial incentives to BG&E customers who engage in energy related home improvements.
